Rafael y Jean Jacques

Hace 10 años Rafael hacía las fotos de los niños del colegio de San Gerardo para las fichas escolares.
Fue a la casa a cambiar la tarjeta de la cámara. La casa se salvo, el colegio y los niños no.
Han pasado diez años del terremoto de Puerto Príncipe, el colegio está reconstruido y funciona, el país aún no.
Jean Jacques es médico, hizo la carrera entre la universidad de Puerto Príncipe y la de Santo Domingo. Con cuatro enfermeras lleva el dispensario de Chateau en una de las zonas más devastadas por el huracán Matthew en 2016. Las enfermeras cobran un sueldo de unos 80 euros al mes; él no. Me contó sobre la importancia de los medios en un dispensario y me dijo que a ver si podía hablar con Acoger y Compartir porque se le había roto el peso y es muy importante poder pesar a las personas para saber si comen o no.

10 years ago Rafael made the photos of the children of the school of San Gerardo for school records.
He went to the house to change the camera card. The house was saved, the school and the children were not.
Ten years have passed since the earthquake in Port-au-Prince, the school is rebuilt and it works, the country is not yet.
Jean Jacques is a doctor, made the career between the University of Port-au-Prince and that of Santo Domingo. With four nurses she leads the Chateau dispensary in one of the areas most devastated by Hurricane Matthew in 2016. Nurses charge a salary of about 80 euros a month; he does not. He told me about the importance of the media in a dispensary and told me to see if he could talk to Acoger y Compartir because his weight had been broken and it is very important to be able to weigh people to know if they eat or not.

Seguiremos denunciando la corrupción y el mal gobierno y seguiremos con la esperanza de un mundo justo.
Aquí, unos pocos, renunciando a un poco de lo nuestro, conseguimos que unos cuantos niños puedan acostarse con algo en el estómago.
Y eso es mucho.

After dinner and having rested, we can only thank all those who have made it possible for us to keep hope, soon we will fill another container of food for the schools of San Gerardo, Fonfrede, Chateau, the Damabiah orphanage.

We will continue to denounce corruption and bad government and we will continue with the hope of a just world.

Ya se ha acabado la Aragon Fashion Week, ha sido una semana de mucho trabajo, muy intensa y bonita a pesar de la gripe contra la que hemos luchado (y no ganado) Couldina y yo.
Lo que toca ahora no es volver a la normalidad, aún no pues este próximo viernes es la cena que organizamos para recaudar fondos para la comida en los colegios que desde Acoger y Compartir mantenemos en Haití.
Si, siempre en Haití.
Pedimos ayuda solidaria, pego el texto que ya puse el otro día con toda la información y la convocatoria:

Estos días las noticias de Haití, vuelven a ser desoladoras, disturbios callejeros, caos, asesinatos, como siempre los más desfavorecidos sufren más.
En las escuelas de Chateau, Fonfrede, San Gerardo y el orfanato de Damabiah apenas disponen de comida. Aragon Fashion Week is over, it has been a busy week, very intense and beautiful despite the flu that we (and not won) have fought against.
What it touches now is not to return to normal, not yet because this next Friday is the dinner that we organize to raise funds for food in the schools that we maintain and share in Haiti.

Estos días las noticias de Haití, vuelven a ser desoladoras, disturbios callejeros, caos, asesinatos, como siempre los más desfavorecidos sufren más.
En las escuelas de Chateau, Fonfrede, San Gerardo y el orfanato de Damabiah apenas disponen de comida. No pudiendo hacer otra cosa por ahora, hemos cargado el dia 11 de marzo un contenedor con 26.000 kg de comida no perecedera y 1.350 litro de aceite, a repartir entre los familiares de los pequeños.

J.- Ayiti week

Las últimas entradas de este blog resumen uno de los periodos más curiosos de mi vida, empecé el día 23 de abril (día de San Jorge) en un avión dirección a Haití, uno de los países más pobres del planeta y siempre sacudido por los desastres para fotografiar los proyectos solidarios de Acoger y Compartir y terminé el día 4 de junio (día internacional de los niños inocentes víctimas de agresión) con la entrega de las últimas fotografías de la Aragón Fashion Week, semana de la moda de Aragón (no se si en inglés debo poner tilde).
Ahora mismo, mis sensaciones solo se pueden explicar con el diccionario de antónimos (recomiendo efusivamente pinchar en este enlace) en la mano, es todo contradictorio e incoherente.
Como en esta parte del mundo (la de las semanas de la moda) todo va muy rápido, las fotos del segundo trabajo ya están entregadas y publicadas en distintos medios y dentro de cuatro días ya nadie recordará que eso pasó.
Como en la otra parte del mundo (la de los terremotos y huracanes) no pasa nada, el tiempo perdura y casi nada cambia, las fotos del primer trabajo están todavía en la cocina hay que mirar, revisar y luego decidir; las cocinaremos a fuego lento; ahora mismo, ya nadie se acuerda de lo que allí pasa.
Creo que en los dos casos he superado las dificultades con dignidad y que ambos serán trabajos importantes en mi vida, cada uno en lo suyo. De los dos sacaré más fotos en los próximos días pero ya con otro ritmo.
No me gusta poner muchas fotos ni mucho texto, pero ya sabes que lo difícil siempre es quitar.

Th.- Ayiti week
The last entries of this blog summarize one of the most curious periods of my life, I started on April 23 (St. George's Day) on a plane to Haiti, one of the poorest countries on the planet and always shaken by disasters to photograph the solidarity projects of Acoger y Compartir and ended on June 4 (international day of innocent children victims of aggression) with the delivery of the latest photographs of the Aragon Fashion Week.
Right now, my feelings can only be explained with the dictionary of antonyms (I strongly recommend clicking on this link) in the hand, it is all contradictory and incoherent.
As in this part of the world (that of fashion weeks) everything goes very fast, the photos of the second work are already delivered and published in different media and within four days no one will remember that happened.
As in the other part of the world (earthquakes and hurricanes) nothing happens, the time lasts and almost nothing changes, the photos of the first work are still in the kitchen you have to look, review and then decide; we will cook them over low heat; Right now, nobody remembers what happens there.
I think that in both cases I have overcome the difficulties with dignity and that both will be important jobs in my life, each one in his own. Of the two I will take more pictures in the next days but already with another rhythm.
I do not like to put many photos or a lot of text, but you know that the difficult thing is always to remove.

Desde las cinco de la madrugada escucho los gritos y proclamas de los predicadores, las canciones y música grabados y a todo volumen y el mensaje gritado; hay muchas formas de subsistir en Haití y esta es una de ellas.
Hemos visto algunos rodeados de gente que les escucha y corea, yo, claro, no tengo ni idea del mensaje aunque puedo suponer la promesa de algún tipo de esperanza.
"liberté, trabaje, manifesté, notre libération, travail, terre, très joli, pueblo, égalité, alaluyah, amen, dificulté,..."

From five o'clock in the morning I listen to the cries and proclamations of the preachers, the songs and music recorded and at full volume and the shouted message; There are many ways to survive in Haiti and this is one of them.
We have seen some surrounded by people who are listening and chanting, I, of course, have no idea of the message although I can assume the promise of some kind of hope.
