Esto es el acabose

Hoy con mi nota sobre los encuentros de PHE16, termino definitivamente de publicar sobre la edición del presente año.
Los encuentros son unas reuniones en un salón de actos, allí una serie de sabios y estudiosos de la fotografía y la reflexión nos hablan sobre los temas del festival, este año Europa,  las europas.
A pesar de todo lo que me pierdo con la traducción simultánea, aprendí mucho, traigo notas sobre unos cuantos fotógrafos y su trabajo, sobre todo en los límites de europa.

Y un cúmulo, este mes de agosto, como otros voy a poner fotos de archivo, voy a maridar un castillo con un río con un vegetal, serán unos maridajes de tríos.

Today my note on PHE16 meetings, definitely I finish posting about the edition this year.

En la Fundación Canal una nueva exposición de la ya archiconocida Vivian Maier con su misterio a cuestas, la verdad es que me siento tan bombardeado con sus fotos, su misterio, su descubrimiento que estoy un poco cansado de ella, pero bueno, la exposición esta muy bien, tiene muchas fotos y entre otras cosas sirve para ver que en Vivian Maier hay mucho más que una autorretratista callejera.
En la sala Canal de Isabel II, de la comunidad de Madrid, una exposición de paco Gómez un estupendo fotógrafo. Es una muy amplia retrospectiva a lo largo del edificio del depósito de Santa Engracia, merece muy mucho la pena visitar.
La exposición de Photoespaña en tabacalera, empezó después de mi visita, es una de Linarejos Moreno que tiene una de las dos exposiciones del Jardín Botánico y ya dije que me gustó.
Cuando estuve había dos exposiciones, una de esas en las que destaca el papel del comisario, es una colectiva con una unidad que da gusto, una idea muy bien desarrollada a través de distintos autores que no desaparecen debajo del discurso. Discurso tan universal como es la sensación de fracaso y la necesidad de seguir adelante que nos acompaña en tantos momentos de la vida. La exposición "Keep calm and carry on" y la comisaría Nerea Ubieto. En la sala pequeña La fragua.
En la principal, una ecológica exposición sobre el estado del planeta, con fotografía, instalaciones y más. Trabajo de Eva Lootz "La canción de la tierra".

Pateando, llego hasta el Círculo de Bellas Artes que siempre merece una parada larga y disfrutosa, este año tiene tres exposiciones, dos magnas y una pequeña, en la sala Goya una exposición de Louise Dahl-Wolfe; comisariada por Oliva María Rubio nos muestra muchos y muy variados trabajos de esta fotógrafa estadounidense.
En la sala Picaso me gustó mucho la exposición sobre los años 80 (del siglo XX) con fotografías de la colección de Nicolas Motelay "Transiciones. Diez años que transformaron Europa".
En la sala Minerva "El Castillo" de Federico Clavarino.
Estuve en la Casa de Velazquez en la inauguración de la exposición "Itinerancia 2016" de los residentes de este año, allí Vicky Mendiz y Oliva María Rubio me permitieron hacerles una foto crimen (espero que me disculpen). La exposición, por cierto, está ahora en el monasterio de Veruela.
Termino hoy con la visita al Museo Lázaro Galdiano, allí la exposición de photoespaña es "A-Z. Diccionario Ilustrado" de Andrzej Tobis, una muestra de fotografía irónica y humorística tanto si conoces el origen e intención del trabajo, como si no. En el mismo museo dos exposiciones a cual más curiosa, una de José Manuel Ballester "Paisajes encontrados, El Bosco, El Greco y Goya" y la otra, no se si más curiosa es la de "Artilugios bosquianos: Sjon Brands". Pongo los enlaces a la página del Museo donde explica ambos trabajos, pero nada como verlos en directo.
Lo mejor ahora es buscar ahora una casa de comidas para hacer lo propio.

Kickin, came to the Círculo de Bellas Artes, which is always worth a long and enjoy stop, this year has three exhibitions, two great and small, in the Goya room, exhibition of Louise Dahl-Wolfe; curated by Oliva Maria Rubio shows us many and varied work of this American photographer.
In the Picaso room I enjoyed the exhibition on the 80 (twentieth century) with photographs from the collection of Nicolas Motelay "Transitions. Ten years that changed Europe."

I was in the Casa de Velazquez at the opening of the exhibition "2016 Roaming" of the residents of this year, there  Oliva Maria Rubio and Vicky Mendiz and allowed me to take a picture crime (I hope you forgive me). The exhibition, by the way, is now in the monastery of Veruela.
Ended today with a visit to the Museo Lázaro Galdiano, there photoespaña exhibition is "A-Z. Illustrated Dictionary" by Andrzej Tobis, a sample of ironic and humorous photography know whether the origin and intent of the work, or not. In the same museum two exhibitions each more curious, one of José Manuel Ballester "Landscapes found, Bosch, El Greco and Goya" and the other, if not most curious is that of "bosquianos Widgets: Sjon Brands". Hoy voy a hablar de tres exposiciones que son cuatro, en realidad cinco y de la tormenta de hoy.
La primera es la del Teatro Fernan Gómez. Centro Cultural de la Villa, las dos exposiciones, la primera (por el orden de visita) es la de Cristina de Middel "Muchismo" poco puedo decir de esta exposición que no sea repetir el título, si te gusta esta autora, la exposición te gustará muchísmo, si no te gusta esta autora, es posible que también te guste muchísmo. Debo decir que este abuso del título en la descripción de la exposición no es original, lo he leído en doscientos o trescientos mil artículos sobre la exposición y no me extrañaría que Cristina de Middel ya lo hubiera pensado antes.
La otra exposición en el mismo centro es la de Juana Biarnés "A contracorriente" si a la exposición le hubieran puesto el título de "Grandisma", ya estaría todo dicho. Muy bueno el trabajo, pero en el video, que es una entrevista a la autora, nos explica con una sencillez encantadora muchas cosas que no se ven en las fotos. Eso, grandisma.
En la Casa de América, este año, con el tema Europa, parecía que era un reto difícil, hay dos exposiciones una a la que no terminé de ver el sentido ni el orden, una colectiva con un título larguíííísimo; y una joya, una exposición de José A. Figueroa "¿Y ahora que? que es un trabajo precioso e intenso de un cubano en el Berlín Este cuando cayó el muro. Puede que esta exposición justifique ella sola todo el festival (esto evidentemente es un poco exagerado, pero no mucho).
En la Biblioteca Nacional la exposición del concurso de libros de fotografía "Los mejores libros de fotografía del año", un lugar para el disfrute hasta la extenuación de los fotolibroadictos y fotolibromaníacos, una interminable pila de libros de fotografía, pasé un largo rato y vi algunas cosas preciosas, otras que no me gustaban las pasé rápidamente.
Aunque no tiene nada que ver ni con Photoespaña ni con la fotografía, pongo un retrato de Antonio Martinez que esta exponiendo sus pinturas en La Suite Teatro en la calle Pignatelli de Zaragoza (hasta mañana).
Y termino con una fotografía que puede ser única (todas lo son), una foto de la tormenta de esta tarde sin rayo relampagueante ni ná, así, la lluvia y poco más.

Today I will talk about three exhibitions which are four, really five and storm today.
The first is the Fernan Gomez Theatre. Centro Cultural de la Villa, the two exhibitions, the first (in the order of visit) is to Cristina de Middel "muchísmo" (muchismo is +/- too much) nothing I can say this exposure not repeat the title, if you like this author, the exhibition will muchísmo like, if you do not like this author, you may also like muchísmo you. I must say that this abuse of the title in the description of the exposure is not original, I read it in two or three hundred thousand articles about the exhibition and would not surprise me Cristina de Middel would have already thought of before.
The other exhibition in the center is to Juana Biarnés "A contracorriente" if the exhibition had given him the title of "Grandisma" (+- great), and that would be all. Very good work, but in the video, which is an interview with the author, she explains with a charming simplicity many things that are not seen in the photos. That, grandisma.
In the House of America, this year, with the theme Europe, appeared to be a difficult challenge, there are two exhibitions one not finished seeing the direction or order, a collective with larguíííísimo title and a jewel, an exhibit of Joseph A. Figueroa "now what? it is a beautiful and intense work of a Cuban in East Berlin when the wall fell. Maybe this exhibition justify herself throughout the festival (this is obviously a bit exaggerated, but not much) .
In the National Library exhibition contest picture books "The Best Photography Books of the Year", a place for enjoyment to exhaustion of photoboocksadicts, an endless pile of books of photography, I spent a long time and saw some precious, other things I did not like the spent quickly.
Although it has nothing to do with either Photoespaña or with photography, I put a portrait of Antonio Martinez who is exposing his paintings in the Suite Theatre in Pignatelli Street (until tomorrow).
And ended with a photograph that may be unique (they all are), a photo of the storm this afternoon without lightning bolt or nothing, well, rain and little else.
Although we talk about the exhibition Plossu the other day, today I put the link in ClavoArdiendo Ana Zaragoza explains perfectly because I like to me both this gentleman

J.- 04 PHE16

Hoy quiero hablar de tres exposiciones, la primera la del Museo del Romanticismo, aquí una pequeña y delicada exposición de un tío cuanto menos raro con una mirada curiosa, Miroslav Tichy y una forma de trabajar también curiosa, es interesante leer todos los datos que aunque no nos llevan a entender el trabajo, al menos intentan explicarlo. El mejor calificativo que se me ocurre es el de romántico y está en el museo del Romanticismo, muy adecuado. Ya una vez allí entré en el museo y recorrí las salas.
En el espacio Fundación Telefónica, la exposición "Tras los pasos de Inge Morath. Miradas sobre el Danubio" Una colectiva sobre Inge Morath y el Danubio, que gira en torno a las fotografías de la propia fotógrafa. Una experiencia muy interesante que ha dado píe a una colección de fotografías variada y contundente. En el mismo espacio (aunque en un espacio separado) una exposición antológica de Joaquin Torres García que me pareció absolutamente emocionante.
Termino hoy con otra pequeña exposición, la de Lucia Moholy, otra gran mujer oculta en la sombra de un hombre (¿has oído hablar de un tal László?) en la sala de Loewe Gran Vía.
¿Dije termino? no quería decir eso, termino ahora porque quiero decir que hoy he clausurado otro vertedero.

Today I want to talk about three exhibitions, the first,  a delicate little exposure in the Museum of Romanticism of the less weirdo with a curious look, Miroslav Tichy and a way of working also curious, it's interesting to read all the data that although we carry not understand the work, at least try to explain. The best adjective I can think is romantic and is in the Museum of Romanticism, very suitable. And once there I entered the museum and walked through the halls.
In Telefonica Foundation Space, the exhibition "In the footsteps of Inge Morath. Perspectives on the Danube" A collective about Inge Morath and the Danube, which revolves around the photographs of the photographer herself. A very interesting experience that has given rise to a collection of varied and compelling photographs. In the same space (although in a separate space) a retrospective exhibition of Joaquin Torres Garcia I found quite exciting.
I conclude today with another small exhibition of Lucia Moholy, another great woman hidden in the shadow of a man (have you heard of such László?) In the living Loewe Gran Via.
Did I finish? did not mean it, I end now because I mean I have another landfill closed today.

D.- 03 PHE16

Como si no pasara nada, retomo esta noche mi comentario y experiencia en PHE. Empiezo con la visita al Museo del Prado, creo que es la primera vez que visito una exposición de fotografía en este museo y para mi primera visita han preparado una colección de calotipos (o Talbotipos) realizados por Nicolaas Henneman que formaron parte del primer libro de arte ilustrado con fotografías Annais of the artists of Spain de 1848, y es que desde los principios de la fotografía, uno de sus usos ha sido la reproducción de obra de arte para su difusión, estudio y comunicación; este es un gran momento para recordar que mi trabajo es precisamente ese, fotografiar obra de arte, ya no usamos los calotipos, pero la idea es la misma.
La sala mantiene unas condiciones especiales de iluminación y(sobre todo) de temperatura que me hacen recomendar un jerseycico para la visita.
Ya en el Museo ¿como no? visito la exposición de el Bosco que es uno de los pintores que mas nos gustan a mucha gente, la exposición esta superpoblada, me resulto un tanto agobiante y no pude disfrutar mucho, con todo merece la pena. Fotografío otra vez la Victoria de Zaragoza de Alvarez Cubero.
Muchas veces me resulta difícil compaginar mis recorridos con los horarios de las galerías, esto hace que no dedique mucho tiempo al festival off (se que me pierdo muchas cosas muy buenas, pero todo no puede ser), mucho no pero algo si, estuve en la galería Cámara Oscura con la exposición de Nanna Hänninen de sencillos y expresivos bodegones y la galería de la Fábrica con una de las dos exposiciones que tiene Cristina de Middel este año en el festival: Antipodes.

As if nothing was happen, I return tonight my comment and experience in PHE. I start with a visit to the Museo del Prado, I think it's the first time I visit a photo exhibition in the museum and for my first visit have prepared a collection of Nicolaas Henneman calotypes (or Talbotypes) that formed part of the first art book illustrated with photographs Annais of the artists of Spain in 1848, and that since the beginning of photography, one of its uses has been playing artwork for broadcast, studio and communication; this is a great time to remember that my job is just that, photographing works of art, now not use the calotypes, but the idea is the same.
The room holds special lighting conditions and (especially) temperature that make me recommend a jersey for the visit.
Already in the Museum how not? visited the exhibition of El Bosco which is one of the painters who we like a lot of people, the exhibition is overpopulated, turned me somewhat overwhelming and I could not enjoy it much, yet worth it. Photograph again Zaragoza Victoria by Alvarez Cubero.
Many times I find it difficult to reconcile my travels with the schedules of the galleries, this does not devote much time to the festival off (I know I miss many good things, but not everything can be), not much but something if I was in Camera Obscura gallery with the exhibition of Nanna Hänninen simple and expressive still lifes and the gallery of the factory with one of the two exposures that Cristina de Middel this year's festival: Antipodes.

D.- 02 PHE16

Continúo con mi recorrido fotoespañolero, festival dedicado este año al continente europeo, las europas. Desde el Museo del Traje, vía bus 46 fui al Museo del Ico, la exposición de Andrea Robbins y Max Becher va sobre desplazamientos, lugares transportados, un precioso y divertido trabajo que nos habla de muchas cosas.

Bien contento me voy al Jardín Botánico a ver las exposiciones de Plossu y de Linarejos Moreno. Muy distintas. Bernard me gusta desde siempre, Linarejos desde este año.

Termino esta entrada con la visita a Centro Centro, antiguo palacio de las comunicaciones donde trabajaron mi padre y mi abuelo, con la exposición "Rostros. Fotografía de retrato en Europa desde 1990", recorro todas las demás exposiciones del centro: La bienal de arte contemporáneo de la Once, Lanzadera, Arquitectura emocional, lo inconmensurable.

Aquí paso el control de seguridad y termino la mañana.

Continue my Photoespaña route, festival dedicated this year to the European continent, the europas. From the Museum of Costume, via bus 46 I went to the Museum of Ico, exposing Andrea Robbins and Max Becher going on trips, transported places, beautiful and fun work that speaks of many things.
I'm very happy and go to Botanical Garden to see the exhibits of Plossu and Linarejos Moreno. Very different. Bernard I like always, Linarejos from this year.
I end this entry with a visit to Centre Centre, former palace of communications where worked my father and my grandfather, with the exhibition "Faces Portrait photography in Europe since 1990." I walk all other exhibitions in the center: The art biennial ONCE contemporary, Looper, emotional architecture, the immeasurable.
Here I pass the security checkpoint and ended the morning.
