D.- La ciudad oculta

El sábado se presentó en la Fnac la exposición y el fallo del jurado del concurso fotográfico "La ciudad oculta" organizado y convocado por AFZ.
He tenido la suerte de formar parte del jurado con Pilar, Julio, Beatriz y Jesús y de pasar un rato intenso, entretenido e ilustrativo con ellos. la verdad es que cuando estoy en un jurado me doy más cuenta de lo difícil que es ganar un concurso.
Quiero aprovechar para agradecer a la Asociación Fotógrafos de Zaragoza (AFZ) la invitación y las facilidades que nos han dado.
Por último me gustaría hacer una disquisición filosófica sobre el sentido, la realidad y la definición del concepto "La ciudad oculta". Pero me voy a quedar con las ganas que no creo que nadie se merezca este castigo.

S.- The hidden city
On Saturday, the exhibition and jury decision of the photographic contest "The Hidden City" organized and convened by AFZ was presented at the fnac.
I have been fortunate to be part of the jury with Pilar, Julio, Beatriz and Jesús and to spend an intense, entertaining and illustrative time with them. The truth is that when I am in a jury I am more aware of how difficult it is to win a contest.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Association of Photographers of Zaragoza (AFZ) for the invitation and the facilities they have given us.
Finally I would like to make a philosophical disquisition about the meaning, the reality and the definition of the concept "The hidden city". But I'm going to stay with the desire that I do not think anyone deserves this punishment.

D.- Sueños y aullidos

Normalmente no recuerdo los sueños, ni siquiera estoy muy seguro de soñar. Alguna vez cuando despierto creo recordar un sueño, una escena de vida pero lo olvido inmediatamente. Es muy raro, mucho, que recuerde con claridad un sueño y cuando pasa no suele ser nada relacionado con la vida real. Esta noche pasada no ha sido así, esta noche he soñado, recuerdo el sueño y es una historia de mi vida, en concreto de mi trabajo. He soñado que el técnico informático que el miércoles me comunicó que vendría a la mayor brevedad posible, venía.
Aunque tengo claro que ha sido un sueño, espero que se haga realidad muy pronto, así veré cumplido un sueño, no está mal.
Ya lo he dicho, pero quiero insistir en que el sueño ha sido por la noche, porque en la siesta, por la tarde, los aullidos interminables del perro del vecino de abajo han impedido cualquier conato posible de siesta, de sueño, dormición, ...

S.- dreams

I do not usually remember dreams, I'm not even sure I dream. Sometimes when I wake up I think I remember a dream, a life scene but I forget it immediately. It is very strange, very much, that I clearly remember a dream and when it happens it is usually nothing related to real life. This past night has not been like that, I dreamed tonight, I remember the dream and it is a story of my life, in particular of my work. I dreamed that the computer technician who on Wednesday informed me that he would come as soon as possible, would come.

Although I have clear that it has been a dream, I hope that it will come true very soon, that way I will see a dream come true, it's not bad.

I have already said it, but I want to insist that the dream has been at night, because in the siesta, in the afternoon, the endless howls of the dog of the neighbor below have prevented any possible conatus of nap, of sleep, ...

M.- del cine al limbo

Ayer estuve (ya lo dije) viendo el documental de Judith Prat "Boko Haram; una guerra contra ellas" triste y real, muy buen trabajo de la realizadora.
Hoy he estado en la presentación de otro documental, radicalmente distinto y también muy bien hecho; "Eduardo Ducay. El cine que siempre estuvo ahí" de Vicky Calavia.

Al limbo

Y es que este próximo fin de semana (del 20 al 23) se celebra la VI edición de Postales desde el Limbo, en las salas del Cuarto Espacio en la DPZ en plaza de España.

Ya sabes, la posibilidad de comprar arte a buen precio y saber que el dinero se destina al trabajo del Centro de Solidaridad de Zaragoza- Proyecto hombre.

Hasta ahora he participado en todas las ediciones, este año con tres postales.

T.- from movie to limbo

Yesterday I was (as I said) seeing the documentary Judith Prat "Boko Haram, a war against them" sad and real, very good job of director.
Today I was in the presentation of another documentary, radically different and also very well done; "Eduardo Ducay. The film that was always there," Vicky Calavia.

And this next weekend (20 to 23) held the sixth edition of Postcards from the Limbo, in the halls of the Fourth Space DPZ in the Plaza of Spain.
You know, the possibility of buying art at a good price and know that the money goes to work Solidarity Center Zaragoza-man project.

D.- el viaje invisible

Es el título que ha elegido Rafa Manzano (almeriense de ojos azules) para el taller de edición con el que nos ha ilustrado a un pequeño grupo de privilegiados en el Centro Cívico Isaac Valero.
Muy gráfico, entretenido, un poco verborreico, buen comunicador. Conocedor de la pintura, del color y de su relación con la fotografía.
Un fin de semana de etiqueta, casi una preboda (M-D).

S.- the invisible trip
This is the title who has chosen Rafa Manzano (Almeria, blue eyes) for editing workshop with which enlightened us to a small privileged group at the Civic Center Isaac Valero.
Very graphic, entertaining, a little verbose, good communicator. Knowing the paint color and its relationship with photography.
A good weekend.

D.- Coincidencias

No puedo (ni quiero) presumir de haber inventado el helicoide, que todos sabemos que lo inventó Català Roca (Francesc), pero siendo como soy un buscador de coincidencias, casualidades y parecidos, hoy me he encontrado con una, muy relacionada con el helicoide.
Ya me lo habían avisado ¿has ido a ver la exposición de Santiago Gimeno en la Lonja? es que esas esculturas, es que tus fotos ...

Aquí arriba he puesto las fotos de mi escalera de caracol que junto con otras escaleras (las escaleras empiezan abajo y arriba y se retuercen trepando) hice en el año 2002, una de las fotografías de puertas hecha en el año 2012 y una fotografía de mi escalera expuesta en el paseo de la Independencia de Zaragoza a primeros del año 2013 (tomada un día de rain).

Aquí abajo una foto de la fachada de La Lonja con la escultura Rainbow (fechada en 2013) y una foto de la misma escultura en el interior de la sala.

No se muy bien que puedo decir, pero como coincidencia, esta va a pasar a mi colección en un lugar de privilegio.

Aunque mis pequeñas escaleras fueron hechas con la única intención de fotografiarlas y ya no existen fuera de estas fotografías, si estuve durante un tiempo contemplando la posibilidad de realizarlas en otra escala mayor, pero esto nunca se hizo.

Pero, ¿que dice la gente que entra y sale?¿que porque nadie hace escaleras mas redondas?¿la figura compuesta sería un semicono?

Yo por mi parte digo, como ya he dicho otras veces valla-valla, valla-valla. Y añado que no debéis perderos la exposición, ni esta ni la de Picaso en el Palacio de Sástago.

S. - Coincidences

Can not (even want) claim to have invented the helicoid, we all know who invented Català Roca (Francesc), but being as I am a seeker of coincidences and accidents, today I found one concerning the helicoid .

But what people are saying in and out? Because nobody does more to round stairs? Composite figure would be a half-cone?

I for one say, as I have said before fence-fence fence-fence. In Spanish, it is pronounced the same fence (valla) that damn (vaya)

And I must add that not getting lost exposure, neither this nor that of Picasso at the Palace of Sástago.

Y hasta el 21 del mismo marzo en el espacio en blanco de la USJ las fotografías urbanas de Vampi Monahan o Gema Plana Mendieta con la música como acompañante (no he podido ir por mi mala pata).
